Are EAP-s cost effective?

Yes, EAP-s reduce corporate costs. Counselling influences the variables (absenteeism, presenteeism, productivity, performance, workplace distress, etc. ) which are responsible for corporate costs.

Additionally, EAPs can help identify and address mental health and substance abuse issues early on, before they escalate and require more costly interventions. EAPs can also reduce the stigma associated with mental health problems and encourage employees to seek help and support.
